There is an ever increasing demand from Spanish property buyers for some kind of guarantee about the structural condition of properties advertised for sale.

We would advise anybody who is considering buying a property in Spain to have a full building survey done before putting down any kind of deposit.

Spanish Fincas, Cortijos and other rural properties are now at the very top end of the market, a goldmine for a minority of unscruperlous vendors and a minefield for buyers who know absolutley nothing about Spanish property construction and building regulations.


Please use the golden rules when buying a property in Spain.

*1 Choose a well established property company, but please remember biggest is not always best.

*2 Always use independent advisors and lawyers, never use the builders or estate agents lawyers or surveyors even if they are included in the price.

* 3 Always have a building survey done by an independent survey      company, surveyor or other qualified building professional.
